Bandsintown Unveils Community Platform For Artists And Execs
American global events discovery and marketing platform Bandsintown has launched its Artist Community, a free online hub that connects musicians and industry professionals.
The platform is designed to allow its members to share, support, learn and empower each other, as well as share tips, advice and ask for feedback on projects they are working on. Users can talk about touring, marketing, live streaming and more.
Members of the Bandsintown community are already networking and offering advice such as how to grow a following.
“Our team will also be in the mix to answer questions and provide resources along the way, like how artists can use Bandsintown for Artists(link is external)to reach its 65 million registered users and grow their fanbase,” Bandsintown said.
Membership in the Bandsintown Artist Community is open to all registered Bandsintown for Artists users, which is artists and their teams.
Bandsintown originally focused on live music and its service to help fans find concerts to attend and has evolved towards livestreaming since the COVID-19 pandemic. In January, the platform launched a new subscription service called Bandintown Plus for live-streamed shows, which offer access to a number of live performances for a monthly fee.
Last year, the company partnered with Twitch to provide artists free accelerated access to the Amazon-owned platform’s live streaming monetisation tools, which were targeted at musicians who were unable to perform live during coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantines.
